About DensityFX

Adam Curtis - The Artist Behind DensityFX

Before founding DensityFX, Adam Curtis built his craft as a tattoo artist, where precision, shading and an understanding of skin were part of the daily work. Those same skills carry directly into scalp micropigmentation, which calls for a steady hand, an eye for detail and a genuine understanding of how pigment settles and ages in skin. Adam’s background gave him a head start most SMP practitioners never get.

Adam moved into SMP as it let him combine his technical skill with something that makes a lasting difference to his clients. Watching someone see their new hairline for the first time is what keeps him focused on getting every detail right.

Expertise

Training, Mentorship and Certifications

Scalp micropigmentation is a specialised field, and Adam has trained accordingly. He holds the SHBBC0S007: Provide Cosmetic Tattoo for Scalp Micropigmentation qualification, which covers the advanced techniques required to deliver natural, long-lasting SMP results. He has also completed HLTINF005: Maintain Infection Control Standards, ensuring every procedure meets rigorous health and safety requirements.

Beyond formal qualifications, Adam has received direct mentorship from Caitlin James and Emma Burnett of SMP Australia, both award-winning figures in the industry. That mentorship has shaped his technique and kept him closely connected to the latest developments in SMP, so clients benefit from methods that reflect current best practice rather than outdated approaches.

Our Approach

Precision, Discretion, and Longevity

DensityFX treatments are built around three principles: precision, discretion, and longevity. Every session is tailored to the individual, pigment is matched carefully to skin tone and hair colour, and the technique is designed to age naturally over time. There’s no surgery, no scarring, and no daily maintenance routine once healing is complete.

Our Location

Visit us at Sawyers Valley

DensityFX is based in the Perth Hills rather than the city centre, and that’s by design. The studio offers a private, relaxed setting away from busy foot traffic and city parking stress, with free parking on site. For many clients, the short drive out becomes part of the experience: a chance to step away from routine and spend an hour or two somewhere calm, rather than squeezing an appointment between city errands.
